The original portable Tetris game was a smash hit on the Game Boy system. The new Tetris: Axis game lets players use the magic of the Nintendo 3DS system to jump into the action in 3D without the need for special glasses. The game includes more than 20 different modes – some familiar, some new. Up to eight players can compete in wireless multiplayer battles, even if only one player has a game card.

A great way to play Tetris, I picked this up recently and doing a marathon or two is a great way to bide time before a class or whatever, and there's plenty of sidemodes to enjoy.
It's Tetris. Controls well, and you have your Mii doing a funny dance on the bottom screen, its quite enjoyable. Sidemodes are cool but I am basic and enjoy the pleasure of just stacking for a while and making tetrises. Pretty solid, especially as a digital version!

One of the best versions of Tetris. The 3DS is the perfect fit for it and the game has its own very unique visual style to help it stand apart from other Tetris games. It has tons of game modes too to mix them up and keep it from getting repetitive, however the thing the most important about this version that really sets it apart the most to me at least was actually the inclusion of download play. Multiplayer is one of the best modes in Tetris and the ability to play with another person without 2 copies of the game is an excellent feature.
