I don’t know why I even bothered playing this but I saw a screenshot with fat fuck gomez platforming and I just had to play it for shits and giggles; I ended up getting so bored with thet I nearly fell asleep playing it, which is kinda strange because unlike movies I’m constantly using a controller so idk how the hell that happened.
The game is one of those bog standard 3D platformers that are filled with generic sounding music with generic looking themes that kinda fits in with the aesthetic of the licensed IP, it’s in the same vein as other games like Spongbob Heropants or that Switch Popeye game. These games are made with the simplest of gameplay even a 3 month old toddler could play it, which granted I’m 100% sure this game was made with kids in mind but that’s still not an excuse. Just because something was made for kids doesn't mean we should drop our standards and just assume kids will like it even though it’s boring as hell and makes every single Nintendo game look like the Mona Lisa. Like yeah kids are stupid and will play anything (I know this better than anyone since most of the games I grew up with were crappy licensed games like NickToons Unite) but the least you could do is put the modicum of effort into it. Although seeing as this is published by Outright Games; a studio famous for shoving out shovelware trash that looks and plays cheaply I’m sure this game was seen as nothing more than a cash grab to tie in with the Addesm Family sequel released the same year.

I'm honestly just surprised that it worked
