How far are you willing to go for game seven of the World Series? New York is one strike away from a championship when the rookie closer gives up a towering home run to end game six. Defeated and humiliated, the closer must go on a night-long journey to remake himself as a pitcher before game seven. Along his journey, he will team up with his reliable pitching coach Moose, Slovenian philosopher Slavoj Zizek, and others as he learns new pitches and explores new and bizarre worlds.

Way funnier and more charming game than you'd expect going in. You're basically just playing this for the writing, with the limited RPG Maker gameplay existing entirely to facilitate the writing. There's basically nothing I can say to sell the game better than you'd get playing it yourself, so... go for it!
Well, so one main complaint - I don't like the DQ bit. Didn't discover it during my playthrough, learned about it later, realized it was a really long walk for a short glass of water, decided I was better off missing it. Everything else? Gold.
