The Sims 4: Holiday Celebration includes a total of 79 items, for free. Which is always good. But that doesn’t mean that this pack is great. There is basically no new gameplay with this pack and because the items are holiday themed, you probably won’t use them much in your own Sims stories. It’s free so yeah, go and download it. But overall, it’s just okay.

The Full Review:

Something Free, From EA?
Well well well, what do we have here? A free pack for The Sims 4? I already reviewed the main game so now I am onto covering the DLC’s. And oh boy we have a lot to talk about. But this first one is actually very simple and has very small amount of stuff going with it.

The first ever pack for The Sims 4 was this “Holiday Celebration” pack. It got evolved throughout the years with each year adding some more stuff so I don’t know if they will still keep adding to this pack 9 years later. But in 2023, we currently have 36 Create A Sim items that are obviously holiday themed.

Some of them are definitely adorable like the holiday sweaters and there is a nice variety of them. We also have 43 Build Mode items that are also themed. But unfortunately, many of the build mode items are just decoration. You can’t interact with many of them. And there are no new gameplay features with this DLC either.

I thought the DLC might have added like a holiday party option but nope. It gives you 43 holiday themed items but there is basically no meaning of using them. Not including doing role playing of course. I don’t know, maybe with the Seasons pack it makes a bit more sense but when this DLC was released there was no Seasons pack and this is a free DLC for the main game, not for the Seasons pack.
