Fantastic continuation of Troubleshooter's main story, instead focusing mainly on new characters Bianca and Alisa's involvement with Albus and co., whilst working on tying up loose ends that the developers weren't able to cover with the initial games development time.

The core gameplay loop returns with a digestible opening mission showing off the two new additions to the roster, and vastly increased difficulty to test the limits of how deep you're willing to sink your teeth into the unit customization. New masteries and tameable monsters change core synergies and offer many more options for viable character builds, most of the team having multiple endgame builds depending on your style of play. Resource gathering was relatively streamlined with higher rarity weapons and materials becoming more commonplace to both purchase and loot.

The missions are undoubtedly higher quality in their set pieces and capacity for tactical planning, but with that comes tedium in the form of grinding optimal equipment from bosses tucked away in the farthest recesses of the levels, as well as information gathering requiring many replays of the same mission, some of them capable of running for over an hour. It's not an inherent negative, but a counterpoint is community involvement. Many players enjoy sharing niche and general use builds with a multitude of applicable uses, some players showcasing being able to grind bosses in less than a minute, thanks to the checkpoint retreat mechanic the game offers. It allows for the most dedicated players to find immensely creative solutions.

Also it's free lmao.
