I haven't played Trip To Vinelands, TTV2, or TTV3 so I cannot attest to the quality of the previous entries, but I imagine they are very similar.
This was cool. I think I bought it for a dollar or something, and I'd say it was worth it. TTV4 is very short, simple enough in its presentation of rules, and the consistent use of the black-with-neon color palette is consistent with Walter Machado's other games I've played, a color palette I've been enjoying a lot. This one is a fast-paced maze-game where the goal is to touch the edge of the screen before you touch any of the fuzzy sometimes mechanical-looking silhouettes moving all over the place. Do this 100 times? That's right, baby. You win.
It doesn't feel like it's making any grand strides in the way of video games, but it was a fun little time. I'm a little torn in that TTV4 does a fantastic job of not overstaying its welcome, but doesn't really offer much depth beyond what it offers you after your second or third try. Not necessarily a bad thing, but now that I reached 100 I don't think I'm ever gonna play this again. And that's fine.
