even though we don't really go back to it consistently, there was a time where me and my friends would play this game religiously, and for that, I associate a lot of good memories and good laughs with Use Your Words.
being the first "Jackbox style" game I ever played, I found the idea of different games you'd play on your phone pretty innovative and smart. but if you compare Use Your Words to its inspiration, something Jackbox has the upper hand on is variety. while Use Your Words' minigames are fun, a lot of images, clips and prompts just repeat themselves after a while. also, while not all Jackbox minigames aren't all based on the idea of writing funny stuff, all of Use Your Words' are, which can create a weird dynamic between players if some of them feel like theur stuff isn't funny enough. this is basically all different variations of Quiplash, but good ones at that!!
so yeah, if you're looking for a good alternative to any of Jackbox's Party Packs, Use Your Words does the job. it's cheaper than what Jackbox's offering, but don't expect anything revolutionary!
(also this game got a french translation patch way before any Party Pack got one so kudos to Smiling Buddha Games on that)
