Wayne Gretzky Hockey for the NES is a classic, but it definitely hasn't aged super well. The graphics are charmingly retro, and it's cool playing as real hockey legends, but the gameplay is super clunky. Sometimes it feels like the puck has a mind of its own and your goalie is just...not great. It's more of a nostalgia trip than anything, but if you're looking for a fun, modern hockey experience, there are way better options out there.

Its probably the best possible result for a hockey game on NES. in today's standards its very clunky and it runs at a very choppy frame rate, but the game-play is still functional and it features some decent pixel art for just being a licensed sports game.
