A 2D platforming side-scroller with exploration mechanics, the game is good enough for what I had to pay for it (I think it was like 1 dollar, being on a pack with multiple games), but I think magical mode was unnecessary, since it was basically having to play the same game again, but without the mana cost of the skills, which seems better added as a mechanic on the beaten file.
I picked up Wife Quest on a complete whim on a random PSN sale. It was like 4.50. Just watched the trailer and it seemed like a decent 2D mega drive like action platformer. Which it pretty much was. The story is short and silly and the game leans into the lewdness a bit but it's still assuderly still a very PG like affair. The gameplay is pretty straight forward. Short ranged sword attacks with a defense shield that can deflect any projectile and negate any damage for the price of mana. About six stages of decent length followed by a boss. You can go to a shop and purchase upgrades and artwork and such afterwards on the world map. You definitly wanna always have the current power upgrade or bosses can take a great many hits and feel like a wall without it. After defeating bosses you get a new ability that lets you traverse or explore more parts of a level, so going back to old stages to find new loot is a definite option. Lots of completion tasks and side things to collect but certaintly not mandatory. All in all I got about 6-7 hours out of it from start to Platinum trophy. I think it's worth a play if your feeling for a an old mega drive like platformer that isn't too big and or cheap. Doesn't do anything better than anybody else but you could do much worse on a random PSN sale blind buy.
