I was looking at my shumps to install something else (forthcoming) and saw this and remembered it and laughed and reinstalled it. In many ways this anecdote is a complete review.

Just look at this sucker on the steam marketplace and enjoy the screenshots so you can see all the weirdo character designs. It's very obviously going for kind of exaggerated and grotesque for the sake of catching your attention but it WORKS and it remains entertaining throughout. The dialogue is also clearly self aware weird and you fight missingno at one point.

Here's the thing though: this is an astonishingly competent Touhou knockoff. It's very easy by those standards but the level design is based around pleasing patterns and characterful boss fights. The roster of playable characters is immense and there are a ton of strange gimmicks in there, plus each one has their own story dialogue to enjoy. Also it is two dollars. One dollar as I write this during the winter sale. How can you pass that up? I don't want to write out every amusing thing because that'll just spoil all the fun if you play it.
