Ok so I want to be clear: this is a very poor Soccer game, I think. Although I will say it moves VERY fast; wildly fast. It was hard to keep up. One wonders if that's a bit of a response to the image of the sport in the US at the time? Who knows.
Anyway, there's very interesting details I for a football game I hadn't seen before: when there's a throw or a goal kick, you get a little animated window of the ref doing the throw animation or pointing for a goal kick. Also when there's a red we watch the carded guy go alllllll the way to the tunnel.
I really hated the actual football gameplay, and most of the presentation too, but there's some interesting things happening.
Also a main theme by Scorpions lmao
