A video game collection that hasn't been topped since, in my opinion.
Not only do you get five classic Kirby titles, but you also get a museum where you can look at the history of the Kirby franchise (and find a mention of Barack fucking Obama becoming president), watch some episodes of the Kirby anime, and even play a whole slew of challenge stages a la Return to Dreamland, courtesy of the absolute bro Magolor. A compilation packed with content and a worthy celebration of the Kirby franchise.
I'm not asking for all of this every time a video game compilation comes out, but when you compare this game or Sonic Mega Collection to something like Mario 3D All-Stars which only manages to get the bare minimum in and dares to ask you for $60 for games over a decade old and nothing else, it's honestly really sad.

Easily the best anniversary collection Nintendo has ever done. 5 great Kirby games repackaged for the Wii. It’s chock full of content, even including completely original content in the form of the challenge stages. These stages are honestly nothing to write home about, they’re basically an expansion on the challenge stages from Return to Dreamland. However, the fact that these are somewhat canon to Kirby lore is hilarious.
One of Nintendo's best anniversary collections they've ever put out, especially when compared to things like Mario 3D All-Stars. Six games that all run well, worthwhile additional content, great collection of iconic music on the CD, and a nice little history section to top it off. The new challenge levels with Magolor in them are also honestly really great and were something I enjoyed playing through as well when I was younger. Also it's a bit of a flex to own it these days.
this rating is based on the collection, not the individual games. please look at the original games if you want my opinions on those
either way this is probably the most solid game collection I've ever bought. not only does it come pre-packaged with all of Kirby's mainline adventures from the NES all the way to the N64, it came with a cool art booklet, a music CD, and a bunch of other goodies. I can't believe that nearly 10 years later Nintendo would release something as barebones as Mario 3D All-Stars considering Mario is their biggest icon
edit: actually I forgot that Mario All-Stars 25th Anniversary also released and was also barebones garbage. Nintendo why do yall insist on treating your most profitable plumber this way

Dream Collection's fun really comes to how much you like Kirby, and how many games you've played from his series. Even if you have experienced all that Kirby has to offer, Dream Collection even comes with a new little game called New Challenge Stages, these stages are quite fun and challenging. With a soundtrack, a museum of Kirby history, even some Kirby anime episodes; Dream Collection still has a lot to offer, and that's what makes it Nintendo's best collection yet.
This is the compilation I compare every other video game compilation to. The selection of Kirby games included is reasonable, and all of them are at least good. On top of that you get a fun interactive museum, brand new challenge stages based off the ones in RtDL, and a few episodes of the anime thrown in for good measure. As a diehard Kirby fan I'm always going to appreciate HAL going the extra mile with this one. I just wish Nintendo did the same for Mario...
