Very little staying power even by modern Pokemon standards.

3 - This game is a technical marvel on the switch. Cutting-edge graphics and next generation gameplay. Pokemon is back baby. Just kidding, fuck you gamefreak.

A lot of things wrong with this game and just feels very lifeless.

MID. It was fun, I always enjoy having new pokemon adventures, but it felt lacking to me. NINTENDO I BEG OF YOU to not rush your pokemon games!!

My first Pokemon game I played on console (my only other game was on emulator) - feels dead, gameplay is extremely boring, and the story is not only super cheesy but extremely tedious and slow. Really disappointed and I frankly think I'm done with Pokemon cuz of this.

This is why Game Freak needs a complete revamp, this game has no pacing and no likable characters. Hop might just be the most annoying character in existence, interrupting your journey every step of the way.

I do like many of the new Pokemon designs and find it to be one of the strongest generations in recent times. But the game itself is just not up to modern standards.

If you want to play Pokemon I don't think any entry will disappoint you. You feel way too detached from the story and the game looks kind of ugly at times, but it's still perfectly fine. Dynamax Adventures from the DLC was a great addition.

congrats to leon and raihan on their marriage

Its nice and i find it very fun and enjoyable but i didn't enjoy paying for dlc

I actually don't mind this. Sure it's kind a fucking mess but the region is kinda cool despite being a bit linear. The designs are peak though, honestly my favorite gen design wise, James Turner is so fucking good at making charming but deep cut reference Pokemon designs. The gym leaders all feel so memorable too and I love Bede even though he's a little under developed. Eternatus fucking rules as a design too. It's very weak story wise and graphically its pretty ugly, except for the models.

The downfall of these games, or maybe it is cause I am old

I get why people don't like this game, it's gameplay, graphics and story are lackluster to say the least, but I don't play a pokemon game for those things. I play pokemon to catch little idiots and give them silly names.

The Final Fantasy XIII of Pokémon.
A guilty pleasure with occasional nice visual effects on cutscenes (had to be more specific as possible so you won't think I'm talking about the wild area with those N64 trees).

I think it isn't too bad. There's definitely better Pokemon games, but this game is still a fun time.

I actually love this game !!!! The musics, charactres and story are just what I wan in a pokemon game !!!

i love pokemon and this game was fun but pokemon games always feel like a copy and paste

this game makes me want to kms. only redeeming quality are dynamax adventures but those are locked behind another $30 paywall so actually fuck you

Not the best Pokemon but I do like it
Has some of my favorite Gym Trainers and Starters

ok game with a bad rival, dlc is the only thing that saved it

not a lot into pokemon but apreciated an easier game, discovering the pokemons and trading with a friend.
But honestly, there isnt a lot to this game, not worth 60$

what a disappointment. an interesting and generally well designed roster of pokemon and a pretty fun journey with huge issues on a deeper level keep this as not bad. however, a terrible and messy story that feels like a cheap knockoff of games with actually good pokemon story, map design thats so linear its suffocating, really bad art direction that somehow is on the same console as totk, the worst evil team and villains in pokemon potentially and more make this a low for the main series games. also no way im paying twenty seven quid for a few more hours of... this.

c'est un très bon Pokémon, vous n'avez juste pas la vision

I didn't even have fun nuzlocking. The wild zone is an alright idea, but needs more things in it. Also, I'm not a graphics guy but come on man

I think Sword & Shield is the most underrated Pokemon game only because this game did the world-building better than Scarlet & Violet, even though it wasn't fully open-world. As A UK-born content creator, I appreciate the amount of detail here, especially in Motostoke and Hulbury, which blends Liverpool and Manchester, I was born within the Liverpool area so i appreciate the nods here
