Man I wish I still had a 360 like just for this game man like if you had a older brother that picked on you and you never played this game with him that's not your brother that's just a random ass dude great game I have nothing else to say truely perfect in ways that don't need to said if you played the game you know exactly why it's talked about the way it is type shit great game 10/10
This is probably the best zombie killing experience period. Valve really outdid themselves with this one.
This is a team based game so to ensure you get the best experience possible, get 3 of your friends and convince them to play together with you. Of all the times I have had with this game, the best experiences had to be the co-op ones. There will be rage-inducing moments like constantly team killing each other due to someone having terrible aim or godlike moments where one of your only surviving team member solos a tank. You can heal each other, give each other resources, save a team member when they get nabbed by a smoker... The game keeps track of all the times you engage with your team mate as well and you will see all of it in the credits page. The fun of this game really lies in goofing around with friends and is definitely the way the game should be played for anyone who's interested in replaying.
Single player, though not as engaging as co-op, is still fun as hell due to the game being fundamentally good. Blasting hordes of zombies with guns is never a dull experience and you get plenty of opportunities to do it here. The gore of this game is also very well implemented and act as great damage indicators without that little thing around the crosshair that CoD does. In higher difficulty, the game also challenges you with planning out everything well beforehand so that you can get pass the level dragging 3 sometimes braindead bots. Of course, the game gets pretty dull if you replay it enough of times but that's basically any game out there.
There is one really good way to add more fun into the gameplay and it is through mods. There are so many mods that modify the characters, the guns, or even creating entirely new campaigns. Therefore, it is possible for you to play as Remilia Scarlet from Touhou wielding an M16A4 from CoD blasting away at Shrek the tank while trying to keep Homer Simpson zombies back. It is wacky as fuck but honestly a lot of fun.
As I have stated earlier, this is a very good zombie shooting game. A well implemented game made even better by the fun co-op mode, active mod scene, and even all the campaigns from Left 4 Dead 1 so you don't have to buy that game anymore. I had great fun with this game and I am sure a lot of people can relate. Whether it's your first time or just simply wanting to relive the good old memories, grab some friends and start up the game!
