it's not TERRIBLE, i did have some fun playing it. but it's not good, and definitely not worth the price that it originally cost.

"We need Animal Crossing amiibo!" - Nintendo

That's literally the only reason why they made this game, something that should have just been a free game on the Nintendo eShop, managed to somehow become a full retail game you can buy on disk, that you can't even play unless own the Amiibo. Nice cash-grab.

Carried by Desert Island Escape but that was put in New Leaf later so oops

This game seems like a neat idea, but when played it’s quite boring. If the mini games were actually implemented into the board, this game would go from a 2.5 stars to 3.5 stars instantly for me. Without the mini games, it’s just a less fun version of Mario Party.

The amiibo bit was also unnecessary, but I already had a handful of Animal Crossing amiibos to use, so I didn’t really mind.

Terrible for an Animal Crossing title, and awful for a party game. Nothing happens and its soooo slow to do anything. Plus, playing the game and getting new characters are locked behind a paywall.

I think people watch videos about this game and assume it must be hilariously bad. But its not. I've tried to play this game with friends, and the best we could do to make it fun was read the dialogue in funny voices. Its a 4-player couch co-op party game that is mostly dialogue. It is just boring.

Bad Mario Party clone that requires you to own an Animal Crossing Amiibo to play.

surprisingly has potential if it was a better game

Clearing my Backlog Part 5: Animal Crossing: Amiibo Festival

This game is really bland and just uninspired. It is one of those cases of not being so unbearable, just not entertaining. The amount of boredom I had just tapping the amiibo and watching text boxes was large. Why didn't they just map the dice spin to the A button? Tapping every time gets tedious. This game sucks and just seems like it was made to promote amiibo and to not actually be taken as anything else. Don't bother.
