I remember when it took me years to finish this game because I couldn't defeat Shao Kahn until I realized that I am not good at fighting games with a controller, even though I only played these types of games with one. I tried with the keyboard and managed to complete the entire game. Long story short, controllers aren't good for me in any situation.

The game has a good plot, which was given little time, it was possible to reveal the details. The gameplay is monotonous and does not stand out among the fighting games.

Good start to the HD era of Mortal Kombat. Really cool that the story goes back through the first few games because the story in those games really felt like an after thought.
