Honestly the anime brought me back after playing at launch.
The gameplay is mainly fun for the cybernetics, they make combat and stealth better. The foundations of which are pretty dull as the gunplay and base stealth mechanics are generic.
The story is great, I appreciate that the different endings can help you feel as if you're playing the original tabletop game (of course 2077 being more railroaded than a TTRPG)
The soundtrack and worldbuilding are what this game get's done best, Alt's theme is a particularly haunting highlight and the different side quests really enhance the immersion as an Edgerunner in Night City.
A good recommendation for anyone who enjoyed this game: Watch Altered Carbon on Netflix (specifically season 1)
