Can gamers at least try to be consistent when trashing games for having MTX, it feels like such random games always catch heat for it when there's much bigger offenders even among Capcom's own library (Monster Hunter World & Rise lmao)

I can at least understand people being upset over optimization (even if in my experience I've had little to no issue in the 5 hours I've played so far), but obviously the issue differs from person to person.

Game is fun tho, I'm having a blast, this really is just an improved version of the original Dragon's Dogma and I'm all for it.

it's okay when dmc5 has orbs in the store
it's okay when you can buy higher difficulties in re3
it's okay when you can buy treasure maps etc in re4
only getting review bombed bc it's bad performance🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️🙄

@sn1ffla Idk if you're being ironic or not but performance is definitely not the only reason it's being review bombed, most of the steam reviews are whining about MTX, which I can only assume is because some randos decided to spread misinformation about the availability of the items being sold. It's especially funny considering this is probably the Capcom's least egregious release with MTX in the past few years. The devs are also apparently looking into fixing the performance issues tho which is good to know.

@AiriBan i agree it's not that big of a deal. some ppl say in the reviews it's cuz of mtx but what about all their other titles since 2019... were those ppl just unaware or didn't care back then abt capcoms monetization? i think if it would run better it wouldn't recieve this hate at all. i'm having fun w it like u too.

@sn1ffla fairly certain it's just because of the aforementioned randos spreading misinformation with this also being one of Capcom's most high profile releases (appearantly it now holds the record for most players playing at once for Capcom on steam?)
I'm also puzzled by it because on top of what you mention about it not being nearly as egregious as any number of other examples which didn't see anywhere near this much of a fuss, you're guaranteed to get pretty much every item naturally in your first few hours of play. The only thing I can think to compare this to is if the one or two hiccups about DMC4SE and DMC5's red orb purchases at the time actually caught on.
