I'm not really one for brutally difficult games, but I adore the BloodRayne series so I played Betrayal on release ten years ago and a decade later I'm still shite at it.
If you want to play it then Fresh Bites is definitely the way to go. The art and music are absolutely top tier wonderful! The combat can be fun although sometimes frustrating, the rebalanced difficulty definitely helps with this but the main issue for me is the platforming. It's still really terrible at parts, sadly, but you can push through them without ripping your hair out most of the time.
The voice acting is a great addition too! Hearing Laura Bailey back as Rayne after 17 years is just splendid.
Overall this was fun to revisit, as flawed as it is. I'm excited to see where Ziggurat take the series in the future.
