Don't play it if you suffer from watching this muddy mess of a game because you will get A LOT into the gross ambiance of the asylum where naked humans are treated like animals, prisoners. Based on my experience, i kinda got a bit unsettled throught some of the game's sequences.
I warn you again as you get into the end of this review.

Well, pretty much to say i tried out just for shits and giggles back when i used to follow cringy Twitch streamers, but it's actually one of the most decent indie horrors of the last decade, but also one of the most disturbing ones i've ever played in my life in this recent decade.

The story is that you're visiting an asylum to capture footage of the horrible events that surround this place, but as you step into it you're presented with a horrible party of mentally mad men who chant their religion, seeking for god, alongside big-ass scary looking patients known as "variants" who roams around the hospital, including the ever famous Chris Walker (yes, the poster dude of the game).

The gameplay is balanced to have only quite essential features, so one of the most important ones is your portable camera you bring for the WHOLE game, presented with its own flashlight that consumes battery quickly. Your job is to seek as much as material scattered in the hospital to find out the truth behind the events of the madness that hinders in front of your eyes. Remember, your life has been devoted and sacrificed to get into this dreaded location, it's literally hell itself.

In the end, the story ends with you entering the laboratory in which the asylum is built from, to tell you that Murkoff are a terrific organization that kind of goes in the same veins as the Umbrella Corporation from Resident Evil, but are more spiteful as they're the antagonists of the whole series which lurk like big dark shadows.

It's a good game, but quite straightforward and also very violent and greasy. I repeat tough, if you lack a strong heart, don't play it and rather play something a bit less gross like Resident Evil (which unlike Outlast is rather a survival horror where you explore a mansion full of infected zombies while figuring out the atrocities of Umbrella Corp) which was done during the PlayStation era and doesn't have a lot of naked men and shits like that.
