Replaying this because the Remix version (seems like a full-on remake) came out and I wanted to refresh my memory of it for comparison's sake. Pretty nice of them to just gift it out to owners of the OG version, too, considering I bought this for like 2 bucks a decade ago and Remix alone is 10 bucks.
Also, I never got the 10min Endless Mode achivement back in the day so I fixed that.
Really nice arcade shooter. I like Savant's music so that's a bonus. The final boss goes hard as fuck, but the ending leaves you feeling like you missed something. The progression system is fun because you just get more powers and content by collecting CDs with Savant's music. It's a nice challenge too until you get all the powers, but then you have Endless Mode to test all these powers and getting to 10 mins alone was rough due to how much shit gets thrown at you.
Anyway, it's just a really nice little game, as its tiny price tag implies.
