this is also just a random whim anyways so maybe we're not so different, you and i, but i do want to feel that maybe i'm coming from a place of mutual understanding: yeah i think what she proposes as an alternative to the standard should be something worth making. speaking more from an outsider's perspective it does seem to me she wants games like Journey, maybe Death Stranding without the story; more so worlds to explore and understand. however i also think we need every kind of art; we need half life as much as we need kingdom hearts, and we need the first stage of super mario galaxy as much as we need the rest of super mario galaxy. As much as we need Ghibli films do we also need Ideons, and as much as we enjoy Seurat's "A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte" do we also need Goya's "Saturn Devouring His Son". Even if princess doesn't want to interact with Myst in a genuine way, to understand why its puzzles exist, it still has as much value as the games she makes. by the end of the day cuter doesn't mean better; it's an aesthetic that when brought together does it become art; and that can be cute or the ugliest thing you've ever seen in your life, and its all a human soul in an inhuman medium
