Words cant describe the feelings this game has made me feel, probably more than any other.

Not because the gameplay, or the story, or even the graphics.
Its because I was a 10 year old boy when this was announced, and Im playing it now as an 18 year old young man.

It all started with an e3, and then they showed it, that trailer.
i was pumped. I loved riptide (Despite its flaws) and adored the first one. I still remember seeing the ad for the trailer on my computer while browsing youtube.

I quickly asked my mom if i could pre order it, and then explained to her about the placeholder date, but that it was most likely gonna release.

She wasn't having any of that and had a hunch it would never release and told me no.

Fast forward and it got canceled.

announced again! (twice)

Finally, in 2023 ive gotten my hands on it.

I love it, its not an open world game, but it is a level by level sandbox kind of layout and it works perfect.

The weapons feel like they have good weight to them, the zombies react accordingly and the character models and dialogue are actually pretty good.

The plot isn't anything major but that's not what I expected. What is there is fundamentally a good time, but nothing that will make you jump out of your seat.

The F.L.E.S.H system, fuckin awesome. You can slice a zombie in the stomach, head, leg, arm, It all leaves a unique mark on the skin and muscle.

You can literally punch a zombie until it is mostly skeleton.

The weapons are a good variation and the guns are pretty fun too, they don't have MWll levels of animation but what's there is decent and very acceptable.
Melee animations look a lot more smooth and polished, my favorite was the kamikaze, fire axe, crescent blades, blood rage knife, and the claws.

A decent amount of characters with different perk cards and playstyles to try out which is pretty cool. Each person has their own reason why they happen to be there and what they want to do when they get out.

They did a good job of making sure it didn't feel like each character was the same.

(I played as Ryan, the guy wearing a firefighter outfit to be a male escort, then ended up in the zombie apocalypse. He wants to get back to his brother)

The plot is very B-movie but thats what the devs were going for and they nailed it

Part of me cant help but wish some of those features in the Jager Build were present here, Particularly the weapons, and the duel wielding of them.

Weapon mods also seemed a bit more hidden and sleek, sad to see the Ice Blueprint didn't make it, but it would be great to see all that in a DLC.

Vehicles too.
