Only 1 hour in and I can say with absolute certainty that Overwatch 2 is not any different from Overwatch, except for the fact that you have to pay money to get anything now. The game looks and sounds pretty good, but it’s just the same game. Queues still being the worst of its problems.
Why not just polish Overwatch up a little (graphically and with balancing changes)? Why does it need to have a paywall for heroes and skins? And why oh why does it need to have a battle pass? Just get rid of all the things that players are complaining massively about since 2018 and bring Overwatch up to modern FPS standards and everyone would be happy to keep playing.
I probably will start up a game now and then, but I will not return to this game fully unless it’s been made playable again.
