Didn’t realize this was literally a children’s game

Now, just because a game is for children doesn’t mean it’s bad. This is certainly not a good video game whatsoever.

Superman: Shadow of Apokolips features some nice cutscenes that feel straight out of the 90’s cartoon. They’re not amazing, but they’re definitely nostalgic and set the mood well. While it’s fun to fly around Superman and he controls surprisingly well, everything else about this game is downright terrible. Mission design is monotonous and predictable, sound effects are some of the worst ever, and the whole game is so lifeless. There’s no challenge to be had. There’s no fun combat to participate in. There’s no good level design. There’s no good boss fights. It’s just plain bad.

This game reminds me Devil May Cry 2; devoid of any good design decisions, lifeless levels without any structure, piss-poor action that all comes together to create a game without any semblance of fun. I had more fun playing Batman: Dark Tomorrow.

2/10

The game is developed by infograme the studio from hell so of course it's devoid of fun
