Incredible game. This game means so much to me. The story gripped me from beginning to end even with the typical JRPG "slow start". I was in tears at the end, that credit's song ;-;
Characters are lovable and have compelling backstories and convictions. The world of Alrest was a joy to explore and is accompanied by one of the best JRPG soundtracks I've ever listened to. While confusing at the start, this entry has my favorite Xenoblade combat system and I don't see that changing any time soon. So much customization and the oddly satisfying quick time button presses for the specials really made getting those big damage numbers satisfying.
My favorite game of all time. Will forever have a very special place in my heart.
