Aside from the lackluster boss battles and unpolished combat that future games would improve upon, I'd still say that Arkham Asylum is a great time. I think what I love most about this game is the asylum itself, and how it provides an evocative atmosphere. There's a feeling of something much darker beneath the surface of such a place, and that feeling is proven right by going deeper into the game and getting all of its collectibles. Definitely a game worthy of its continued praise.
