Fucking amazing. It's disgusting how good this game is both as a sequel AND just as a yakuza game even compared to the later games. Kiwami 2 genuinely just does fuck this game up especially with the music, like yes kiryu getting stabbed in kiwami was awful but holy shit the final scene on Kamurocho Hills was so beautiful and heart wrenching in the og and then kiwami says "hey what if we played that boonk ass ugly ass shitty ass bullshit ass SiM song"
But yeah anyway game is fucking amazing, if Miike made a Yakuza 2 movie it'd be the best thing ever made.

Honestly, I enjoyed both versions. And yeah, I do agree with you when it comes to OST. However, I kept that in mind before getting into YK2 since I loved the OST and especially the songs that play during both the stabbing of Kiryu and the "Let's just make out" scenes. so...i installed a mod. experience was not ruined, lol. Try that next time. On top of that, there are other OST overhaul mods for it too. but I only had those two scenes' OSTs switched. The rest is different but not bad.

Both are amazing. I love Yakuza way too much to not take them both in happily.

(SiM is a good band just a bit jarring to have them on YK2 coming from Y2 though.)
