Another entry to seal my admiration of supergiant's artists.

Breaking the game down to talk about it isn't exactly applicable here since the pacing of the game affects it entirely.
But if I should, I'd start waxing about how beautiful the world is, the art and character designs, the dialogue and the brief voice lines are all very interesting, Darren Korb's composing is now cemented as a favorite of mine.
The game is enticing at first while learning the ropes and trying to grasp the gist of it through trial and error. While it gets a bit dull later the game wraps up soon after before it gets really tedious.
It meshes gameplay and narrative nicely, to the point where choosing team members to send back hinged on the character's writing as much as its usefulness in a role.

The first half is magical, but a little after the second half kicks off repetition starts seeping in, the game becomes more open ended compared to the crafted journey of the first half, If the game was consistent throughout its length it'd have been an easy 10/10.

Also, I'd stop at nothing for my precious Jodariel and hedwin.
