While (correctly) maligned at launch, at this stage it has metamorphized into what it obviously was: a Euro interpretation of GTA's story beats and gameplay structure, with a featherweight RPG element that lacks compared to The Witcher. But it has a good story once it actually gets going, and there's no denying that CDPR has done a good job in making Night City a lived in place.
