Uh oh, i'm sorry you had to be here. As consolation, i'm sharing with you my chocolate chip cookie recipe, i've been attempting to perfect it for the past four years of my life.

1 stick butter
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup light brown sugar

1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cup all purpose or bread flour (Add an extra 2 tablespoons if you want them to be taller. I recommend this.)
Half a bag of chocolate chips

Melt butter on stove
Add butter and sugars into mixer, stir until mixed.
Add egg and extract, stir
Add salt and baking soda together
Slowly add flour to mix, scrape off spare flour from sides, stir until dough forms
If necessary, continue adding flour until the dough will no longer stick to your finger when poked, usually 1 or 2 tablespoons
Add chocolate chips (I prefer 3/8ths of one regular sized bag), and stir.
Refrigerate for at least two hours
Set oven to 350 Farenheit (~ 175 Celcius)
Scoop out dough, form into balls on parchment lined baking sheet
Insert sheets into oven, cook anywhere from 10-12 minutes depending on the size of your cookie.
Remove from oven and cool on a wire rack
