I think it's a pretty solid attempt to make an N64 game for better or worse. Everything was recreated here and lovingly so.

That being said it takes all the same problems that era had too. Camera even with the new camera controls can still be a pain, a lot of time spent retreading areas to find the next thing to do, and really frustrating boss battles.

If this game has one major issue for me though, it's the level design. It's kind of boring and uninspired. There's a lot of awkward placement and I didn't find myself spending time in areas just to hangout and vibe.

I really want to see Playtonic keep going with this series though. I love that they got the old heads together and tried to make Banjo Threeie. With some more polish and more modern design sensibilities added in, this really could be a respectful throw back series without the warts.

Love the characters and how insanely English they are too.
