The arc one was ok after I stopped aiming with it and just hip fired but yeah all the other ones felt like peashooters with the weirdest spreads
cray. maybe we just had different playstyles. i felt like the first one had good range and a ton of impact. both of them outdid even the gnasher for me. honestly i didn't feel like anything was a peashooter. the arc screamer especially felt godly to me since it practically sent enemies into seizures. different strokes though ig
while you're on your 7th gen binge, you oughta check out bullet witch. and regardless of what you think of that game, its predecessor, gits standalone complex (ps2), is also definitely worth a look. both are very interesting cavia titles, but gits is definitely the better shooter
...and if you really want a love-or-hate game - chaos legion on ps2

i've played the first few levels of chaos legion and hated it but i know the american version made everything tankier and cost more so i am going to play it in jaapnese and hopefully enjoy the gameplay as much as i do everything else about it already
didn't know that - i never found them too bad myself. a heads up on CL: be aware that enemies in that game come in both organic and metallic varieties. the spawner enemies get the most flak out of anything in that game. shoot their antennas! they're not very noticeable without scrutiny, but if you shoot their tips rather than try to kill the fleshy part of them, they die way, way faster
