Far less remembered than its 16-bit older brother, but 8-bit Sonic 1 isn't any less of a great time. It's got a great feel to it, catchy as all get out music by Yuzo "Streets Of Rage" Koshiro, and only gets let down by a few rough patches of level design. I hope whoever decided on the idea of an autoscrolling Sonic level was taken out back and shot, but the rest of the game is good enough that I can at least look past it.
