It's not nearly as good as its sequel. Already having the context of that game makes this one seem so meek in comparison. It lacks a LOT of content and the resort feels a lot more empty both just in its space and its features, but it's still pretty fun.

The vibes are definitely still there at least. The various Bandai Namco game soundtracks, the announcer lady interrupting the songs over the intercom to talk about random stuff, and the idle chatter of the other skiers, it all makes the ski resort a very pleasant place to merely exist in. That will always be my favorite thing about these games. Even just idling as the game runs as you lay on the couch looking at your phone or something, it's such a pleasant little vibe to hang out in. I said it when I wrote a little blurb about Go Vacation (which I've now deleted!), but it was such a great idea for Bandai Namco to put the Ridge Racer team on a game like this.
