Aliens: Thanatos Encounter is a top-down shooter that tries to bring the gritty, atmospheric tension of the Alien films to the Game Boy Color. Unfortunately, awkward controls, repetitive levels, and frustrating enemy AI make this a battle of attrition rather than a thrilling xenomorph hunt. While die-hard fans of the franchise may find some enjoyment, others will be disappointed with the simplistic gameplay and lack of scares.
