The ending, as most people know, is a surreal, disjointed trainwreck that flagrantly defies logic presented earlier in the very same game. Never in my life have I been so utterly baffled by the last 15 minutes of a piece of fiction. The extended cut doesn't help much either.

That said, the rest of the game really is great. There are fantastic character moments throughout, and everything prior to those last few minutes feels like a great sendoff for the series as a whole. Even the multiplayer was actually pretty good.
