I ended up loving Shadow Hearts by the end but I really think it was a bad move to have so many sexual assault jokes in the first couple hours. I know "it was a different time" but the vast majority of the game isn't like that at all. Between those jokes and the abysmal dubbing I probably would have dropped this one early on if I hadn't played Koudelka first, but I'm very happy I didn't.

The opening act feels like its from an entirely different game in a lot of ways, definitely got the vibes of an early first draft of the game that they never went back to once they got the game ironed out.
@JanssenJam @ZapRowsdower Definitely agree with the early first draft idea, extending to just introducing him as Rude Hero as well. It reminds me of when I tried to make RPG Maker games in middle school, like write/design from start to finish as you go and never change any of the early stuff lol. There's things I like in the prologue and it gets great soon after but man it's rough to get through
The scene on the train is awesome but as soon him and Alice land on the ground he starts acting weird. The people eating children made it worse in that one scene.
