Spiderman 2 (PS1) is an improvement gameplay wise to the original as it tightens some of the controls. The camera and other inputs like webbing is still an issue but it still feels better to play. The level design here took the "Goldeneye" approach this time as opposed to linear levels where each level is an open space and you must complete an objective, that is also possible to fail. I actually prefer this approach to the level design as it works in favour of Spidermans gameplay. I will say the story here is a bit weaker than the first, and the rougues gallery here is also not as strong. I don't think there's any Marvel cameos here besides Beast in the first level. This is kinda disappointing when the first game was riddled with characters that were loved, both from the gallery of Spiderman and Marvel. Spiderman 2 is still an improvement but it takes 2 steps forward and one step back for lacking the charm the original game had.
