Even at the time of its release on PS1, Breath of Fire III did not present itself as a highly innovative game, but rather as an RPG with a classic flavor that did not forgo some experimentation. The porting to PSP is competently done, and it appears evident that Capcom has tried to smooth out the edges a bit by calibrating the number of encounters. The addition of the ability to fish in multiplayer also opens up the game to situations where an RPG would be difficult to propose (short bus or subway rides).
Today as then, BOF is a recommended game for fans of the genre, who will appreciate its solidity and accomplishment.
