I can't emphasize how adorable Cat & Soup's art style is: from the charming pencil-like aesthetic of the world to the lovable animations of your dress-up kitty workers. The music is calming, and the atmosphere makes for a great experience—until you realize there's not much "game" here.
Cat & Soup suffers from giving the player very little to do outside of watching tons of ads, which are the only way to progress, and even then, progression takes too long to be enjoyable. Understandably, it's a freemium game, but even the payable options don't remove the necessity to watch ads. Overall, if you don't mind watching mobile ads as a form of gameplay, I would not mind recommending "Cat & Soup: Ad Edition" to you. On the other hand, while it may not be as visually pleasing as this game, idle games like Cookie Clicker are more engaging and worth your time.
