A very fun and solid sequel that feels a bit rough and lacking compared to the last two entries.

The main story is another exciting and interesting adaption of classic Spider-Man plots with some new twists and ideas, but the back third feels a bit like a rehash of beats from the first game. It's also cool that both Spider-Men are playable and part of the story, but for the most part Miles is sidelined and ignored which sucks. Especially with how the game ends, I wish there was a little more build up to that character moment (and that Miles didn't get that awful new costume.)

The side content is also a mixed bag. It's not necessarily bad, just repetitive and shorter than it felt in the last games. I wish more of the quests felt more like complete stories and not either just small tasks or set-up for the next game and/or DLC. Also it's a minor thing but man the alt suit selections in this game are bad. Too many movie suits, a bunch of classic suits cut from the last games for some reason, and just some truly ugly and weird new ones. I spent most of the game in the classic comic looks which is fine but a bit disappointing when it comes to Spider-Man and his rich history of costumes.

Still though, swinging through the city is still incredibly fun and exciting, combat is great, and the story is engaging and fun. I had a good time with this game and I'm excited for the next entry down the line.
