Loved the story and characters. The games world was fascinating and well detailed. The plot begins very different and intriguing and it admittedly does become a bit basic Final Fantasy fare in the last chunk it's still very good Final Fantasy so I didn't mind it. The visuals are stunning and this game has some of the most exciting and awesome cinematics I've seen a game. The music is also just perfect, just some amazing songs Soken knocked it out of the park.

I get some of the complaints people had. The combat is simple, the Eikon abilities keep it fun and give you some new things to do now and then but it definitely could've used some other weapons or something for more depth. The RPG aspect is also very minimal. I also didn't mind the ease of the game. I didn't find it horribly easy but once you find a build you enjoy and have a lot of potions there isn't a whole lot to worry about. The length complaint I also get, it certainly is long and there are some slower parts, but again it didn't really detract for me as it did others. The side quests are also simple, but most offered solid rewards or interesting smaller story aspects so they were fine. I was always enjoying my time exploring and learning about the world while furthering the fantastic story.

Overall I really loved this game even though it took me 6 months to actually get all the way through. One of my fav Final Fantasy's for sure.
