This is another Playlink title which will have plays combatting in trivia using their phones as their controller. The game requires each player to download an app and all be connected to the same WiFi which can be a hassle at gatherings.

Knowledge is Power takes place over several rounds, where players vote on a category for each question. While there’s some player choice, once you set down a general path you’re going to see category options along those lines for a round.

There are also additional speed round segments where you might have to match related words or sort items into categories. These are a good way to break things up.

Points are scored based on who answers the fastest, and there’s an added layer where each player can pick somebody else to sabotage and make it harder to answer. That could mean forcing them to tap away at ice or rubbing away slime to select the answer they want. It can be pretty tough if you’re in the lead and all players target you.

Knowledge is Power does tend to drag its feet a bit between questions and it can get tedious watching the animations of players getting attacked with items and the like. Additionally, it can feel like the final round has too much weight.

Knowledge is Power is nevertheless a fun time despite its flaws and a fun alternative to Jackbox Party Packs.
