How do I even get started with this slop of a game...

When the game was first revealed, I was very interested about this game. When the game launched, I pirated the game off of a website and played it on yuzu. I thought the game was neat at first and even asked one of my friends for chirstmas if they could gift the game to me on Steam. However, now that the honeymoon has waned on me, I'm left feeling more underwhelmed about the game.

Sonic Superstars boasts some positive attributes worth mentioning. The character animations are remarkably well-done. Additionally, the physics mechanics closely mirror those of the classics and the Retro Engine framework. The level design, while not groundbreaking, shows competence and offers moments of genuine enjoyment.

Now comes the bad :3!

The soundtrack and sound design are among the weakest aspects of the game. The audio mixing is subpar, and some of the tracks are akin to the synths in Sonic 4 do little to enhance the experience. Visually, Sonic Superstars falls short of expectations, particularly for a classic Sonic game. The visuals are competent but ultimately bland and uninspiring.

The bosses are also horrible. Rather than providing exciting challenges, they feel tedious and uninspired, failing to engage players in meaningful ways.

In conclusion, while Sonic Superstars has its moments , it ultimately falls short of expectations. Its lackluster audio, uninspired visuals, and underwhelming boss battles detract from an otherwise competent game. As a Sonic fan, I had hoped for more from this title, but unfortunately, it left me feeling disheartened and unsatisfied.
