Will I ever get bored from this game?
One Step From Eden is perfection, it's almost the exact same thing I want from a roguelike. I love how every single run I do feels random only to an extent. It's repeating but not in a tedious way, I get to experience a different way to break the game in a different way every single run, EVERY SINGLE RUN. All the characters are so fundamentally different from each other It really satistifies the primal instinct to deck build in a janky way.
Want to cheese out easy enemies with poison? Sure boss here's your 160 poison stack. Want to slash things in a brainless manner to rp as EMIYA? Who needs to keep an eye out on mana, not me.
And the best part is this game isn't limited only to a being better Slay the Spire. It's a fucking hyper-speed, impossible to follow, eye burning, finger hurting Megaman Battle Network on drugs. Want to get good? You need to build your deck consistently and press buttons consistently at the same fucking time. Keeping track of your deck and current hand while dodging a boss while keeping an eye on your mana is unbelievably hard and satistifying. Every run you do will evolve into a mono red aggro deck.
