Cult of the Lamb would be more impressive if ActRaiser hadn’t done the same thing a whole lot better decades ago. The dungeon crawling lasts too long for how uncomplex and imprecise the combat is and the lack of meaningful dialogue or events when managing your cult removes a big emotional hook from the proceedings. Also, do NOT play this on Switch. Loading times are abysmal and I experienced two crashes. Hard to get too upset since it was free via game trial, but these technical issues should have been patched by this point.

Totally agree with you here. Although I loved the aesthetic of Cult of the Lamb, it wasn't satisfying in either of the two main gameplay elements.

@Bartholomue The aesthetic was good for sure. The cute characters and relaxing music complimented the devilish vibe very well.

Had no idea that's what kind of game this was. Makes me mildly more interested in it, but the art style just ain't my thing at all.

@Weatherby Most players will not be able to draw the comparison. Heck, it wouldn’t surprise me if Massive Monster has never even heard of ActRaiser. I mentioned it because of the split focus on action and god gameplay.
