Kiwami 2 brings back a lot of what made 0 so special in a lot of ways, which is a major plus. It also has some major downsides.

The good is substories are amazing again. They're funny, out-there, and just a blast to do. No more of Kiwami's dull ones. The business stuff is back, sadly they're just the hostess minigame again and a very poorly designed tower defense game, the spirit is there.

The medium is the story. The peaks are high, but somebody needs to teach the writer's twists are overrated and using several within an hour is not interesting. It actually ruins the peak story moments sometimes.

The real bad is the combat. Kiwami 1 already felt like a downgrade from 0. This feels even worse. Enemies are spam blockers and dodgers, Kiryu does not feel strong unless he's in a power-up mode. It's not THAT bad, but it's not good either.
