The open world is detailed and fun to explore, but the speed of the Burnout engine and the complexity of the map are not a great mix for racing. The various intersections and minimal navigation make some events a frustrating experience. Too often I found myself having to restart races due to missing a turn I didn't see because everything is moving so fast.

There are no difficulty settings or rewinds, which could have helped alleviate some of the frustrations. There isn't much variety in the types of events which leads to a lot of repetition.

I did still enjoy playing it at times, but I'm not sure I would recommend it in 2022.
