Art-style, soundtrack and premise are top-tier; art direction in general is at its peak. Love the twisted world and visuals, such a creative and wicked type of game.

Sure the game shows its age in some areas, mainly in level design and checkpoint/save system, and some areas of the game are utterly frustrating.

Overall, a great game with such a beautifully deranged aesthetic that I decided to overlook most of its flaws. And yes, I firmly believe this game inspired the Dark Souls series.
